EMMETT KELLY DAY SET FOR APRIL 24, 2027

Emmett Kelly Day will be April 24, 2027, in Houston, Mo.  The day honors the late clown who went on to international fame in circuses, television and movies. He grew up on a farm east of the community in Texas County.

His first professional appearance was at the local Old Settlers Reunion in Houston.

The event drew about 3,600 people to downtown Houston in 2026.

Activities are sponsored by the City of Houston with help from a steering committee. Dozens of activities are planned in 2027.
