Come to one of the best downhill bike parks in the Midwest! With one green, two blue and two black downhill trails, Shepherd Mountain Bike Park is a sought-out destination for mountain bikers from all over the country.
Located in the rolling hills of Arcadia Valley (Ironton, MO) Shepherd Mountain Bike Park hosted the first National Level Enduro race in 2021. Big Mountain Enduro drew racers from 23 states and foreign countries and loved it.
In 2022, Phase II of the park construction has begun. We’ll be adding additional blue and black trails, as well as downhill trails that are more amenable to novice riders.
If you haven’t visited in a while, a new pavilion with restrooms and shelter is located at the base. The entrance to the park has now been paved.
We’ll also be adding a Skills Park, 12-13 miles of rolling cross-country trails and more!!
Shepherd Mountain Bike Park will offer something for the entire family.
Add our great outdoors venues like Taum Sauk Mountain, Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park and Fort Davidson State Historic Site and you can make a great outdoor mini-vacation for you and your family!
