Baseball and Brews

See Photo Location

A baseball road trip isn’t complete without good brews. Luckily, Missouri has both of those things. There are many great places to catch a baseball game on both sides of the state. Stay awhile, and make it a baseball road trip. Besides, Missouri is only one of six states with both an American League and National League Major League Baseball team. After all of the peanuts and Cracker Jacks, check out some of the finest Midwest breweries also located in Missouri. There is nothing better than a brewery visit after the game!

Day One

A. Boulevard Brewing Company

Add a Boulevard tour to your Royals game day to-do list. The 45-minute tours are available Wednesday-Sunday. Samples are available for those ages 21 and older.

B. Kauffman Stadium Tours

Kauffman Stadium is home to the Kansas City Royals. Any diehard fan on a baseball road trip should put the “K” near the top of their list in the Midwest. The stadium boasts the largest high-definition video-board in the major leagues. Tours offered may include the dugout, press box, interview room, Crown Club, the visitor's locker room (subject to availability) and other interesting behind-the-scenes locations. Tour times vary.

C. Kansas City Royals Baseball

The 2014 American League champion Royals play at Kauffman Stadium, noted for its 322-foot-wide water spectacular in the outfield, and the largest high-definition video board in the majors. And don't forget to sample some wonderful Kansas City barbecue while you're at the game.

Day Two

A. Mother’s Brewing Company

Heading to a Springfield Cardinals game over the weekend? Visit Mother's Brewery, where tours are given at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. every Saturday. Enjoy samples of Mother's brews.

The Springfield Cardinals are the Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They are one of eight teams in the Texas League. Home games are played at Hammons Field. The Hammons Field gates open one hour prior to game time.

C. Springfield Brewing Company

A great place to relax before or after a Springfield Cardinals game, Springfield Brewing Company (or simply Brew Co., to locals) has indoor and outdoor seating, a full menu and plenty of house-crafted brews.

Day Three

A. Budweiser Brewery Experience and The Biergarten

This great pre-game brewery tour includes a visit to the Budweiser Clydesdales stables and free samples of Anheuser-Busch products in the Hospitality Room (must be 21 or older).

B. St. Louis Cardinals Busch Stadium Tours

A baseball road trip to Missouri isn’t complete without a stop to Busch Stadium; home to the St. Louis Cardinals. Hour-long guided tours provide an in-depth look at every part of the Stadium. Group rates available for 25 or more. Tour tickets can be purchased at the Gate 3 ticket window on Eighth Street. Tickets are only available on the day the tour is offered.

C. St. Louis Cardinals Baseball

One of the most-storied franchises in all of baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals are 11-time World Series champions. Enjoy a home game, and the Sea of Red, at Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. The stadium offers a view of the St. Louis skyline, including the iconic Gateway Arch.
