If you follow @MoTravelGuy on Twitter, you know he enjoys to eat. A lot. Here's a peek at some of the eateries he's visited in the Show-Me State. A winery and brewery are thrown in for good measure.
MoTravelGuy is a firm believer that cake, pies and cookies are acceptable breakfast foods. That in mind, he suggests ordering a big slice of the Gooey Butter Cheesecake at The Blue Owl. If you're a more traditional breakfast fan, don't worry. You will find plenty to eat.

If you like a big, full breakfast with lots of options, look no further than the Black Bear Lodge at Tan-Tar-A, on the Lake of the Ozarks. When you sit down, get ready for the long haul. Eggs. Sausage. Biscuits. Omelets. That's just the tip of the iceberg. They even have fruit, if you're so inclined.

One of the best things about a restful night at The Elms is getting up to eat breakfast at the newly remodeled Eighty-Eight at The Elms. Whatever your breakfast pleasure, MoTravelGuy suggests you get an order of the breakfast potatoes. These little gems are a delightful way to start the day.

If there's one word to describe the food at Pappy's, it's amazable. Yes, a combination of amazing and incredible. If you wait until supper time to dine out here, you might be out of luck. Get there early. Voted one of the 101 Best Places to Chow Down in America by The Travel Channel.

Danna's is a great place for barbecue and burgers. A repeat visitor here, MoTravelGuy is torn between the delicious pulled pork sandwich (and platters featuring pulled pork) and the burgers, particularly the one that's topped with a handful of jalapenos (it's not on the menu, but is sometimes listed as one of the specials).

MoTravelGuy encourages you not to overdo it on chips and salsa because your meal portion will be plentiful - and delicious. Oh, and they've got a couple of different heat levels on their salsa - the hot really is hot.

Gram and Dun offers an upscale dining experience in the beautiful Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City. The extensive menu has lots of options; MoTravelGuy enjoys the fried chicken and waffles. That's not a typo.

The brews here are excellent; in the warm months, MoTravelGuy enjoys the Summer Lager. Year-round, a favorite menu item is Bison Nachos. There are not enough superlatives to describe them.

Stone Hill's Vignoles sits near, or perhaps atop, MoTravelGuy's list of favorite Missouri wines. It's a semi-sweet wine and goes well with a variety of foods. Stone Hill's Vintage Restaurant is a bucket-list stop for MoTravelGuy; he's enjoyed the wine, but not yet had the pleasure of dining here.
