Sligo was a thriving, unincorporated, iron ore mining community, founded in 1886. Tour the circa 1886 Sligo School and the circa 1903 United Methodist Church; both retain their original wooden interiors.
The school is now used as a community building; the church still holds services, Sundays, 9 a.m.
Call to arrange a tour. Located off Route 19, on Route TT, about 15 miles north of Salem. Look for signs.
