This cemetery is the burial place of Missouri governors Meredith Miles Marmaduke and Claiborne Fox Jackson, along with Dr. John Sappington, a pioneer in the use of quinine to treat malaria. All were prominent Arrow Rock citizens. The cemetery is located five miles southwest of Arrow Rock and is managed by Arrow Rock State Historic Site.
