This is the largest, state owned, warm-water hatchery in Missouri; one of the largest in the nation. It raises walleye, muskellunge, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped and hybrid striped bass, bluegill, and hybrid sunfish to stock in Missouri waters. The 2,000-square-foot visitor center includes: a 12,700-gallon aquarium; a gift shop; a variety of exhibits; demonstrations; and displays. Missouri hunting and fishing permits are available. Fishing is allowed by youth 15 years of age and younger. Tackle and bait are available at the visitors center free of charge. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
