Sitting atop Inspiration Point, the highest point in Southwest Missouri, is Inspiration Tower. Visitors can travel 230-feet by glass elevator to the top for a panoramic view of the Ozarks from the observation deck. There is 95,064 poins of structural steel weight in the Tower. The total amount of rebar is 34 tons, equalling five miles. It took 43 concrete trucks in convoys to fill the 13-foot, 6-inch deep by 51-foot, 6-inch diameter foundation.
