Cedar County Historical Society
The Museum is located at Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri. Since we are located near the county center we are interested in preserving the history, historical artifacts, the struggles of our ancestors who came here over a hundred years ago, worked the land, raised their families, worshiped, and lived their lives in this beautiful part of the world. The Cedar County Historical Society was organized in 1970 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting interest in, and preserving the history and genealogy of Cedar County, Missouri and its people. The Museum is open 1 p.m.-4 p.m. April - October on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Appointments can be made as well by calling 417-276-7092 or 417-276-3337. Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month (except December) at 10 a.m. at 106 Davis St., Stockton, MO. Everyone is invited to attend.
