The Museum and Research Library is located at 106 West Davis St., Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri, one block north of the square, then one block west on Davis St. The Society was organized in 1970 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting interest in preserving history, historical artifacts and genealogy in Cedar County. Struggles of our ancestors who came here over 200 years ago, worked the land, raised their families, worshiped, and lived their lives in this beautiful part of the country is preserved in the museum and library.
The Museum is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of the month, April thru October, and also on the last Monday of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., January thru November. Closed in December. Appointments for research and tours can also be arranged. Admission is FREE.
