Cedar County Historical Society Museum and Research Library

The Museum and Research Library is located at Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri.  The Society was organized in 1970 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting interest in preserving history, historical artifacts and genealogy in Cedar County.  Struggles of our ancestors who came here over one hundred fifty years ago, worked the land, raised their families, worshiped, and lived their lives in this beautiful part of the country is preserved in the museum and library.

The Museum is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of the month and also on the last Monday of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.from April thru October.  Appointments and tours can also be arranged.  Admission is FREE, however the Historical Society and Museum are not tax funded and operate on donations from the public and fundraisers.  A free cup of coffee is also available to visitors.  The museum is wheelchair accessible.

Meetings are held the last Monday of each month (except December) at 1 p.m. at 106 Davis St., Stockton, MO.
