The museum plans to reopen April 28, with special hours that weekend: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-4:30 p.m. Sunday. Following that weekend, hours return to Thu.-Sat. each week and the first Sunday of the month, noon-4:30 p.m.

The museum houses information about dinosaurs in Missouri and features natural history displays, contemporary art and metal sculpture from the Runnels collection, wildlife taxidermy, dinosaur exhibits, a children's Discovery Lab, Will Mayfield College memorabilia, Civil War ballistics, American Indian artifacts, a digitized presentation of historic local photographs, a children's play room, gift shop, and more.
Our museum makes its home in the Art and Science building of the former Will Mayfield College campus, overlooking the foothills of the ancient Ozark Mountains. Beautiful architecture and educational history placed our building on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
