Explore with us. Discover Southeast Missouri where dinosaurs roamed, man explored, and brother fought brother. Our exhibits feature natural and people history spanning the ages. Step back in time to the age of dinosaurs, explore life on the Trail of Tears, contemporary art and metal sculpture from the Runnels collection, Missouri Dinosaur Discovery exhibit, fossils, North American mammals, Will Mayfield College memorabilia, Civil War ballistics, American Indian artifacts, a digitized presentation of historic local photographs, and much more inside this architectural treasure that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Discover & Play area, children's Discovery Lab and Gift Shop available.

Our museum makes its home in the Art and Science building of the former Will Mayfield College campus, overlooking the foothills of the ancient Ozark Mountains. Beautiful architecture and educational history placed our building in the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Museum Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week and the first Sunday of the month, noon-4:30 p.m.
