Enjoy 100 hours of music during this festival which pays tribute to Scott Joplin, one of the world's best-known ragtime composers.

There are free and paid music events. The free venues are open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sit back and be entertained; learn a 1900s dance; show-off your own piano skills – the opportunities endless.

The paid venues open 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Concerts by top pros and gifted armatures; dinner shows; and dances.

Scott Joplin lived in Sedalia when he composed one of his most-famous works: The Maple Leaf Rag.
