This museum features displays devoted to topics of Carthage history. Occasional traveling exhibits and special programs April through October.

A local history library is available during regular hours for self-directed research (assisted research and access to full archives requires an appointment and fee). Tourist info, gift shop and Jasper County/Tri-State Route 66 and Jefferson Highway guides are available.

Group tours can be arranged after-hours by advance appointment and fee. Located across from Carthage's Municipal Park and Ruby Jack Trailhead nearby.
