The Southern Hotel is a 229-year-old landmark, one hour south of St. Louis. Eight guestrooms contain country Victorian antiques and whimsies. Bathrooms have old-fashion claw foot tubs with showers and pedestal sinks with brass fixtures. We have restored the large front parlors, the spacious dining room and one of the game rooms so our guests experience all of the charms of the past. Beginning our 33th year as a B&B. Check-in: 4 p.m.-8 p.m.; office hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; best to book on line.
Listed on the National Register. Largest oldest brick west of Mississippi. Operated as lodging from 1805.
