Guest House Near Downtown Joplin

We have two guest rooms available for guests 365 days a year. Each room houses two guests each and you will have access to all the house amenities. We also rent out the entire house (which sleeps eight guests) when we are away for vacation. Contact us if you are interested in either a guest room or the entire house. Spacious, Comfy Guest Room No. 1 The large guest room is 12' x 17' with a queen-size bed, a desk/workstation, dresser, rocking chair, and walk-in closet. This room also has beautiful wood floors, craftsman style trim, and two large windows that peer over the quiet residential street below. Cozy Guest Room No. 2 The second guest room is 12' x 10' with a queen-size bed, a bedside table and lamp and walk-in closet. This room also has beautiful wood floors and a window that overlooks the backyard. The Entire House If you are interested in renting our entire house, please contact us for availability. Guest Access You will have access to the house through a keypad entry system and to two large living areas (one upstairs and one downstairs), the kitchen and all its amenities, dining room, two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), the fireplace, and two front porches (one up and one downstairs). Also, if you have laundry, we have a washer and dryer you can use. Outside there is a fire pit, and large side yard to relax or play lawn games. Interaction with Guests If you rent a guest room, and not the entire house, you will be sharing the house with Stephen and Rachel, the hosts. We work weekdays 8 a.m.-5 p.m. so you will have the house to yourself during these hours. We would love to connect with you or show you around Joplin after 5 p.m. and on the weekends! The Neighborhood Our historic neighborhood is called North Heights and was originally built by several wealthy families in Joplin's early days. Now it is a mixed low to high income family neighborhood, which makes it a unique transitionary space between the Roanoke neighborhood (Snob Hill as they Joplinites call it) to the north and the downtown neighborhoods to the south. Getting Around You will also have access to parking on the street right in front of the house.There is a trolley that runs from 8am-6pm in Joplin, we now have Uber and taxis are always available too.
