Battle of Athens State Historic Site Campground

The site offers basic and electric campsites; water is available in the campground mid-April through October. Showers are available at the site’s picnic shelter, approximately one mile from the campground. Enjoy picnicking, hiking, fishing, boating and historic site tours.

At this site, Union troops defeated the pro-South Missouri State Guard in 1861.

Campsites available on a walk-up registration basis and are not reservable.
