Located above Bridal Cave, 10 minutes west of Camdenton, this restaurant offers delicious German, French and American cuisine. Warm up on a wintry night with schnitzel and a glass of red wine. Linger over a slice of house-made cake while you admire a stellar view of the Niangua River and the Lake of the Ozarks.

For many St. Louis residents, saying date night immediately brings Baileys’ Chocolate Bar to mind. Full of candlelight and red roses, this gem in the Lafayette Square district is a perfect destination for a romantic evening and a great night out with friends. Grab some pals and share several of Baileys’ decadent desserts. They serve more than two dozen heavenly chocolate martinis, 90 beers, wine and spirits, as well as a light-fare menu of pizzettas and cheese plates.

In Cape Girardeau, Bistro Saffron delights diners with tasty, beautiful Asian fusion dishes. Bright flavors (such as ginger and citrus) elevate steak, seafood and pork recipes. Craving classic Thai? Saffron serves some of the best curries and soups in the area. Sushi fans won’t want to miss the long list of inventive rolls, including a “spider roll” filled with soft-shell crab.

When the decision-makers work up an appetite, they often head for Madison’s Café, just two-and-a-half blocks from the Capitol. A favorite among foodies for more than 30 years, Madison’s treats diners to many amazing dishes. Try the lobster ravioli in a saffron-infused cream sauce; celebrate a special occasion with the chateaubriand for two. Choose a table on the sidewalk, when the weather is good.

Whether you crave something sweet or savory, Aviary Cafe and Creperie always delights the taste buds. Inventive crepe varieties at this eatery include, among many other choices: shrimp and polenta; roasted pork and vegetable; and caramel apple crisp. The chef uses locally sourced ingredients to make crepe creations, meaning everything is wonderfully fresh. They have two locations in Springfield.
