Dragonfly Rock Mosaic

Anyone who dislikes mosquitoes can appreciate dragonflies, especially in Missouri. Dragonflies are also admired for their beautiful forms. Join us for a class create your own rock mosaic dragonfly as we discuss these unique creatures.
Jakes Day
Date: Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center
Join the Current River Callers, NWTF chapter and the MDC for a fun day designed for kids 6 to 12. Activities include fishing, archery, air rifle, a hunt smart hike and a wild outdoors activity. Registration is on-site. No pre-registration required. Registered participants will receive a free Jakes membership, goodie bag and a chance to win one of three prizes. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m. There is no cost for this event.
Nature Art: Pine Needlers
Registration Period: August 21 – September 26
Date: Thursday, September 26, 2024, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Location: Twin Pines Conservation Education Center
This class is a 12-month program (June 2024-May 2025) that meets each month. You will learn simple, but beautiful embroidery techniques as we explore some of the most stunning and unique wildflowers native to Missouri. The monthly sessions are required so that you will be able to complete all 15 blocks for an entire quilt.
A virtual class is offered the same day from 4 pm to 5 pm.
Hummingbirds: Virtual Program
