Give thanks that Black Friday shopping is done! Get out into nature and join Washington State Park.

Celebrate the upcoming holiday season by joining Washington State Park interpretive staff for a Turkey Trot hike!  The event begins at Shelter #1/C.C.C. Ridge. Santa will be there for holiday pictures with the kids and families in the rustic stone shelter with an on-site photographer. Refreshments will be available.

Then at 1 p.m., the hike will begin. The guided hike will cover parts of the 1,000 Step Trail and the overlook shelter, exploring the park's natural and cultural resources. The hike will be approximately one mile long, starting and ending at Shelter #1. This hike is rugged terrain on a natural surface. Wear sturdy shoes and dress accordingly for this outdoor experience. The Friends of Washington State Park are co-hosting this event for a suggested donation of $5 per picture with Santa.

All events are weather and conditions permitting and subject to change.
