Come visit the home of Missouri's second governor, Frederick Bates and learn about his role in creating Missouri as we know it. Tour the restored residence from the earliest days of Missouri statehood and see how life on the frontier was lived. The estate also includes the family cemetery which contains the burial site of the governor, his wife, Nancy, and two of their four children.
