The third Friday of each month, the Missouri State Museum will take visitors on a themed tour of the Missouri State Capitol at 3 p.m. These tours are different from the standard tours given daily at the museum. Themed tours explore a wide array of topics from in-depth looks at specific artworks to tours exploring the capitol as a product of the resources of Missouri.
August's theme is "Background, Foreground and Figures." Visitors will learn about the history and techniques used to construct museum dioramas.
Come a few minutes early and check in at the Missouri State Museum tour desk just off the Capitol rotunda.
