The Landing After Hours: Robert Wells and the Missouri State Seal at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site

The Missouri General Assembly adopted the Great Seal of the State of Missouri on January 11, 1822, just months after Missouri obtained statehood. Join historian Henry Gensky as he tells the story of Judge Robert William Wells, the designer of the seal, and the meaning behind the seal's symbols.
