Statehood Day Celebration at First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site

It's Missouri's birthday and you're invited! Come help celebrate the 198th anniversary of Missouri becoming the 24th state, at the First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site.

The public is invited to view the buildings where our first legislators and senators met from 1821-1826 to go about the business of organizing into a new state. Interpreters will entertain visitors with fun state trivia and tales of Missouri's road to statehood, provide information and displays on our state symbols, and conduct historic demonstrations.

Make sure you don't miss the birthday cake and refreshing lemonade.

For more information about this free event, please call the historic site at 636-940-3322.
