Show and Shine for a Special Kind Truck Show

See Photo Location

The public is invited to come out to St. Joe State Park for Show and Shine for a Special Kind, a semi-truck show fundraiser for The Little Learners Spectrum Center, the Farmington area’s first school for children with autism.

For a $50 registration fee, anyone wanting to do so can bring their semi to be part of this event. The show is free for other attendees, but donations are encouraged. All proceeds will go to the Spectrum Center and help fund its expansion. The school is currently designed for children 5 and younger, and its leaders hope to establish a K-12 academy.

Last year, the inaugural Show and Shine, held at Mineral Area College, hosted 95 tucks and raised $40,000. This year’s event will take place at St. Joe’s large ORV staging area/parking lot (signs will direct visitors where to go). In this new location, the backdrop of the nearby old lead mines will provide fantastic photo opportunities for everyone.

Participants and spectators should bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent. To register for this event or for more information, contact Kasey Aslinger at 573-366-1464 or kaseyaslinger@aol.com.
