Native American Bead Art at Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park

Participants will learn about bead art by becoming familiar with materials and processes used by Native Americans hundreds of years ago to create magnificent pieces of beaded clothing. They will also have a chance to see bead work on pieces of beautiful modern ceremonial dance regalia. Individuals will also learn how to use modern beading looms and will have the opportunity to create their own bead art to take home with them.

This program will be held in the classroom of the park's visitor center. Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles north of Marshall on Highway 122.
