Celebrate National Trails Day at the park with a hike with a twist. Participants will enjoy the wonders of nature and outdoors on one of the park's favored trails while conducting a photo nature scavenger hunt. Stop in at the visitor center to pick up your scavenger hunt list and get to searching. The list will be available for pick up between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This hike and hunt is good for all ages and the whole family. Bring your favorite leashed four-legged dog friends, too.
The hike is one mile long and rated moderate with an estimated hiking time of 43 minutes. Hikers may experience natural surface (dirt, mud, gravel), shifting rock, slippery surfaces, rocks, roots and/or downed vegetation on the trail, physically challenging obstacles, wood or stone steps, bridges and/or structural crossings, water/stream crossings without bridges, occasional water over the trail, and a brief road crossing.
