Louisiana Bicentennial Celebration
Our little historic town of Louisiana, Missouri, will be celebrating 200 years of history June 30-July 4 2018. Our opening day will begin with a parade of course, starting at 10:30 a.m. Throughout the day we'll be celebrating those who helped build that history. This will include the public unveiling of the bust of John B. Henderson, the author of the 13th Amendment. On Sunday, the families of our community will come together for an old-fashioned family picnic, fun day and worship service. Monday and Tuesday, we'll celebrate our businesses and organizations, many of whom have a long history in Louisiana. Our patriotism will shine on Wednesday with a patriotic motorcycle parade, music and an outstanding fireworks display.
