Do you have a passion for hiking and nature? Are you interested in learning about new plants and animals? If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, then join us for one (or many) of our guided hikes on the Loess Hills Trail. The hikes will be held every other Saturday from May 9 through Aug. 29, at 10 a.m.
These hikes will run weather permitting. In the event of heavy rain or lightning, the hike will be canceled. Trail terrain is rugged with many steep hills and narrow walkways. Participants should wear appropriate footwear – no flip flops – and bring and use insect repellent.
This event is free and open to the public. Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles north of Marshall on Highway 122. For more information about this event, call the park at 660-886-7537.
