Past Event

Dennis “Haxaw” Bottoms has played music with the likes of Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and West Plains’ own Porter Wagoner. He’ll be playing at the Ozark Heritage Welcome Center at a special dedication event for “Porter’s Wagoner’s Guitar” sculpture by Jason Morton, chainsaw artist. The sculpture, completed earlier this year, is inspired by the guitar designed by Greg Rich and featured on the cover of Porter’s 53rd and final studio album, “Wagonmaster,” released June 5, 2007.

As an added bonus, Jason will be carving another sculpture from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All are invited to watch him as he works his chainsaw magic to make art out of an oak tree which recently died at the Welcome Center.

Food truck on site will be serving breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
