This festival celebrates fall with a Halloween flair. Dubbed “Josiah Howell-O-Ween Day” in honor of the founding family of Howell County, of which West Plains is the county seat, the event will feature vendors, music, costume and pumpkin-decorating contests, carnival-style games and other family-fun activities in and around the Yellow House Arts Center and on sections of neighboring streets.
In addition to the activities, information about Josiah Howell and his family will be available. Organizers are inviting Howell family members and are especially hoping to meet some of Josiah’s descendants.
