Glade Top Trail Flaming Fall Revue – Douglas County, MO
Hundreds of people have gathered from various parts of Missouri and Arkansas for 60 years to attend this annual fall celebration at Caney Picnic Area on the Glade Top Trail, just south of Ava. Attendees of this traditional event are not only greeted with friendly smiles, breathtaking views, and great food, but can also enjoy an array of activities, exhibits and entertainment.
The event begins with an outdoor church service set against the backdrop of the vibrant autumn beauty of the Ozark hills. Over the next several hours, local musicians liven things up with guitar picking, great vocals, and upbeat bluegrass and country music. It's always wonderful to see folks clapping along or, from time to time, grabbing a partner and dancing the two-step!
Kids, and kids-at-heart, will enjoy free fall activities such as pumpkin painting, fall craft projects, pumpkin ring toss, turkey calling, and more. Crystal Lake Fishery will be on hand to award trophies for the best turkey calls and delicious desserts will be auctioned off to the highest bidder! Be sure to visit the local vendors & artisans with their handcrafted items and maybe do some gift shopping. Bring your appetite, lawn chairs, and cameras, and plan to stay a while!
Join us for the next Glade Top Flaming Fall Revue on October 16, 2021!
