Stop by the park for an outdoor adventure! Whether you are a first-timer or expert at fishing, staff will have various stations set up. Cast a line at the obstacle course; several scenarios will be provided to help you improve your casting abilities. Next, learn about the different types of fish found in Missouri waters. Visit the stream table to learn about rivers, streams, erosion and how oxbow lakes are formed. Finally, test the skills you picked up by casting a line in the lake.

Fifteen fishing rods along with bait and equipment will be available for participants to use at the lake during the event. Staff will be on hand to assist you and answer questions. Suggested items to bring are insect repellent and sunscreen.
