Start the new year off on the right foot with a hike along the scenic Frenchman’s Bluff Trail at Cuivre River State Park. Join the naturalist at the Stone Shelter parking lot for a moderate 1.5-mile hike.
Hikers will be treated to views of the Cuivre River Valley from the iconic Frenchman’s Bluff. After the hike, s’mores will be served back at the Stone Shelter.
Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Restrooms will not be available at the trailhead; however, vault toilets are open at the equestrian area, at the Hilltop Shelter and in the campground across from the playground. Pets are welcome on the hike but must be kept on a leash.
This event is free and open to all ages. For more information, call the park office at 636-528-7247. Event updates will be posted on the park’s Facebook page.
