During the month of November, Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site will display a collection of original oil paintings by artist Garry McMichael depicting the beauty and splendor of Elephant Rocks State Park. This collection will show the rocks from various viewpoints and seasons.

The exhibit will be held inside the historic site museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. It will kick off with an opening night reception from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, during which the artist will be present to answer questions and provide insight on how he goes about creating his art and why he is so inspired by Elephant Rocks State Park and its unique formations.

Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
