Featured speaker, Teddy Gentry, Country Music Legend and Cattle Breeder. Teddy Gentry, bass player for the legendary country music group ALABAMA, developed his own breed of cattle (South Poll) in 1989 at Bent Tree Farms near Fort Payne, AL. He will share his insights into breeding cattle to fit environmental conditions along with how grazing management has benefits his beef cattle operation. South Poll cattle are known for their efficient size, fertility and longevity.
Ellen Polishuk, author and farmer is also a featured speaker. Ellen has made her living growing and selling vegetables for more than 20 years. She has vast experience managing workers, using all kinds of tractors and equipment and employing multitudes of organic practices to turn soil, sunlight and water into food.
