Missouri State Parks and Ozark Regional Library will be partnering to bring the community a fun and informative safety program for kids and parents. Safety day will be a lot of fun for the kids, as they will have the opportunity the test their skills in a safety bike course and, upon passing, will be awarded their very own personalized Missouri State Parks driver’s license. Parents will also be able to learn about other safety topics, and Missouri State Park Rangers will be on hand to help parents document details that might be helpful in an emergency. Kids can bring their bike for a safety check and to use it in the safety course, and those who do not have a bike can borrow one from the site. Toddlers with tricycles are also welcome.
The event is free to the public and will be at the day-use parking lot next to the museum. Parking will be in the grass between the museum and the day-use playground area. For more information, call the museum at 573-546-3454 and talk with Bryan or Brick or call the library at 573-546-2615 and speak to Suzie.
