The final resting places of many of the early St. Louis beer barons such as Uhrig, Lemp, Wainwright, Anheuser, Busch, and Griesedieck can be found at Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. Their monuments speak of family fortunes won and lost, and how legacies intertwined as breweries merged, burned, closed, and re-opened.

Spend a relaxing afternoon outdoors near Wildwood Valley Gardens with music, local beer and wine samples, and refreshments. Enjoy a tour to learn about some of the early brewers that brought the beer industry to our country. Stroll at your leisure through Wildwood Valley Gardens or join a tour led by our horticulturists. Music will be provided by the Gaslight Squares and food will be provided by Beast BBQ.

Proceeds from the Beer Barons tour benefit the cemetery’s efforts in conservation, education, and community programming.

• Wristbands are your ticket to the tasting tent. You can pick these up at the event check-in table. All tours are timed.

• Taster Level ($50) wristbands include
  • Small tasting glass
  • Beer and wine sampling from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • One (1) meal ticket per guest (provided by Beast Craft BBQ)
  • 45-minute cemetery trolley tour

• Barons Level ($100) wristbands include
  • Small tasting glass
  • Beer and wine sampling from 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
  • One (1) meal ticket per guest (provided by Beast Craft BBQ
  • 60-minute guided trolley tour that includes access inside of the Lemp and Wainwright mausoleums
  • Beer Barons logo T-shirt and a can cooler with Bellefontaine’s Logo*
