The 18th annual Missouri State University-West Plains Ozarks Studies Symposium will be held at the West Plains Civic Center. This year’s theme is “Conflict and Consensus in the Ozarks.” Opening reception on Thursday, September 18, with presentations throughout the day on Friday and Saturday.
The goal of the symposium is to foster the preservation and understanding of regional culture, with a wide range of informative, thought-provoking and entertaining topics to be covered by presenters who are experts in their respective fields of studies. Presenters speak for 30 minutes each, including time for Q&A.
Attendees are able to listen to any or all presentations. Complete descriptions of presentations, speakers and schedule is available here. Admission is free, and preregistration is not required.
