Traverse the same labyrinth that inspired “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and see Mark Twain’s newly discovered signature in an easy, hour-long, guided tour of Missouri’s oldest show cave. This cave is one of a few labyrinth-style caves in the world and was first shown in the 1880s after being made famous by Samuel Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain. It is a registered National Natural Landmark. The tour route is lit and walkways are level and smooth. The cave is open year-round and is a constant 52 degrees, making it a great adventure for any day — rain or shine.
The Mark Twain Cave Complex is Located on Route 79, 2 miles south of historic downtown Hannibal. The Cameron Cave, Hannibal Tour Company Truck Tour, Cave Hollow Winery and Mark Twain Cave Campground are also located on site.
