  • April 19: Little Stinker's Storytime (preschool children), 10 a.m.-11 a.m. This month’s story, song and craft features the wild turkey, a game bird that almost went extinct but now has made a strong come-back due to Missouri conservation efforts. Reservations are required.
  • April 22: Wildthings (ages 16 and older), 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The rugs created by the pioneers of the Missouri Ozarks are an heirloom treasured by those who appreciate their craftsmanship. Join the Wildthings this month and learn how to craft your own using the crochet method. We will provide the fabric and training to get you started. You provide the skill and time to do the rest. Reservations are required. Limit 15.
  • April 29: Wild Edibles (ages 12 and older), 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Taste samples of nature's bounty throughout the seasons. This program includes information on plant identification, preparation and cooking techniques. We will be taking a short hike around the center, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Limit of 15.
