Missouri Golf is Legendary

March 26, 2019

It's been a long, snowy winter but spring is finally here. Time to set all those stir-crazy golfers loose on the beautiful courses around the Show-Me State.

But while you're planning your own golf adventures, leave room in your schedule for the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf April 24-28. Pick up tips by watching the best players on the Senior Tour as well as the legends of the game.

New to the senior tour, two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen joins the field for the first time. The South African World Golf Hall of Famer will team up with Mark McNulty to test their skills against all the past winners of the Champions Division: Fred Funk and Jeff Sluman (2014), Joe Durant and Billy Andrade (2015), Michael Allen and Woody Austin (2016) and defending champions V.J. Singh and Carlos Franco (2017).

As in previous years, the tournament is played on two courses. This year the breathtaking Top of the Rock, which hosts all five days, shares play Wednesday-Saturday with the exciting new Ozarks National course.

Also new this year is a legends competition featuring three teams – Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, Ben Crenshaw and Jerry Pate, and Lee Trevino and David Graham – playing on Saturday at Top of the Rock for a $50,000 winner-take-all purse. That matchup is followed immediately by Family Day at the practice range, featuring Dude Perfect. The event is free for children aged 17 and younger accompanied by a paying adult.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday at Top of the Rock with the Celebrity Skins Shootout, featuring a nine-hole skins game with appearances by golf legends and celebrities … and of course, the final rounds of tournament play and the crowning of the 2019 champions.

Check out the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf website for more details and tickets.

Once you've learned from watching the best in the game, be sure to book a few tee times of your own on any of Branson's other spectacular golf courses. Just remember: "The only thing a golfer needs is more daylight." (Ben Hogan)
