Perched atop the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River bottoms, seven miles east of Hermann. Enjoy our friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Our wines and beers are made on the estate. You may sample our products in the tasting area. We are happy to answer questions about the process. In addition to indoor seating, there is an outdoor veranda, under grape arbors and shade trees. During festivals, tour the vineyard and the estate on our free tram. Browse our website for details and a calendar of events.

Directions: From Route 100, five miles east of Hermann or nine miles west of New Haven; go north on Route B through the village of Berger; watch for our signs. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Housed in a 100-year-old former handle factory, Chateau (winemaking estate) Kinori ("my harp" in Hebrew) is a family-owned winery steeped in tradition. The chateau offers award-winning red wine that is estate grown and produced on the property. Live music is scheduled routinely.

The winery is in the downtown area, two blocks west of Route 51, then two blocks north on High Street. Mingo National Wildlife Refuge is one mile north; Lake Wappapello is 12 miles west.

The Cafe Kinori offers sandwiches, pizza, and a variety of fine foods. Catering and meeting space is available.

Mount Pleasant was founded in 1859. The winery is within the Augusta Appellation, the first federally designated viniculture district in the United States.

The Mount Pleasant tasting room offers samples and sales. Our original limestone cellars are still used to age estate-bottled wines and international award-winning ports. Enjoy a bottle of wine while relaxing on our large, terraced patios under the trees. Picnic foods can be purchased at the winery.

A 45-minute, guided tour is available April thru October, on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 1 p.m. Private tours are available year-round, by appointment.

The winery features a restaurant with a serene atmosphere and spectacular views of the Missouri River Valley. There is entertainment year-round, including live music, wine classes, winemaker dinners, and holiday-themed events. Join the wine club for extra savings and special events. See website for event schedules. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Bring in an empty bottle from any winery and receive 10 percent off (bottle for bottle) of your take-home wine purchase. Bring in as many bottles as you'd like.

No outside food or beverages may be brought onto the winery grounds.

Visitors enjoy a free, self-serve tasting bar with samples of our 32 varieties of wine and juice. Wine cellar tours are offered hourly on Saturday and Sunday; other days by reservation. Our gift shop features our wines, gourmet foods, stemware and wine accessories. Picnic tables are available under the grape arbor in front of the winery. St. James Winery is closed on Thanksgiving and Dec. 25.

Please note our regular hours are shown, but we close at 6 p.m. during the winter months (roughly Oct. 1-May 1).

We offer more than one dozen wines, sweet to dry, white, rose and red. We also produce sweet, dry and spiced wines made from apricots, peaches, pears, apples, plums and nectarines.

Train lovers delight in our Loco Vino Collector's Series (www.LocoVino.com); wines inspired by our nation's great railroad history, featuring beautiful train images on the labels. Our renovated 1800s tasting room overlooks our wine making area. We bring the outdoors in with our roll-up glass front.

Bring your own picnic or choose from our cheese selections (no outside alcohol allowed). Please check our website or Facebook page for music schedule. Our open mic nights are open to all genres of solo artists and bands. We offer home winemaking kits, supplies and advice. Meeting/event space is available and includes a high-definition projection unit with 110-inch screen and wireless capability.

From Route 63, go west on Vine Street less than one mile. Expanded hours some weekends in summer.
