7C’s Winery will hold its 5th Annual MeadFest on Sep. 21, noon-6 p.m. This Medieval celebration will include competitions, recreations and living history by The Society of Creative Anachronism Shire of Oakheart (SCA).
There will be a costume contest for all ages, plus performances by Gypsy Sol Red Moon Tribe and a bird of prey demo from Dickerson Park Zoo. Enjoy the music by Rowan's Crossing. BBQ and turkey legs will be available from Smokeshack Bar B Que.
Bring the family and enjoy the fun. There is no charge to attend the event. Souvenir Mead tasting glasses are $5.
7C’s will have cold bottles of wine and mead as well as a few select beers available. PLEASE, don't bring outside alcohol! Cocoa, the chocolate lab, frowns on it.
