Wings over Weston is a festival that celebrates and raises awareness for birds and monarch butterflies, their migration and habitat. The festival is a family friendly event for children and adults of every age. Some of the activities include arts and crafts, face painting, games, guided bird hikes and rescued birds from Operation Wildlife. Live music will be provided by the Bluegrass Tornadoes and a food truck will be available.
This year, Wings over Weston will also be celebrating the 175th Anniversary of Platte County! To help celebrate, a children’s art fair, bald eagle programs by the Dickerson Park Zoo and falconry programs have been added to the event.

A folk art gallery in a restored 100-year-old building. We feature handmade works by Missouri artisans and some from neighboring states. In addition to other types, works include: chainsaw sculptures of eagles, fish, turtles, frogs, bears and mountain scenes; outdoor metal art; and American Indian art.

We have wrap-around porches on both levels; a perennial and water garden; a private hydrotherapy hot-tub with a bi-level deck; a terraced yard; and a pool and deck. While few of Parkville’s original buildings remain, the Café des Amis is in the town’s oldest business structure (1844). It has housed a bakery, art gallery, furniture store, dentist, and funeral parlor.

Green Dirt Farm is a small sheep dairy set in the bluffs above the Missouri River Valley, about 40 miles northwest of Kansas City.
We produce award-winning sheep's milk cheese and yogurt, by hand, on our farm, using milk from our own ewes; also, we sell grass-fed lamb. We do not use synthetic chemicals, hormones or unnecessary antibiotics.
