Pettis County Circuit Courtroom Mural Project

Eric James Bransby, a 20th century American painter, educator and authority on the history and technique of mural painting, was commissioned in 1976 to execute the Sedalia murals. These murals mirror Sedalia—a community drawing upon the wisdom of the past and constantly looking with vision to the future.

The Wheel Inn Restaurant
This relocated drive-in is the home of the original ‘gooberburger.’ A taste sensation in Sedalia since 1947, the gooberburger is a seared (fresh, not frozen) hamburger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and a smooth peanut butter sauce.
