This circa 1865 house is located one block from the Katy Trail, amidst Augusta’s acclaimed wineries. Apple Gate offers three guest suites, each with private bath and private entrance, one has a kitchenette. A full, hot breakfast is served.

Nearly 7,000 acres of outdoor recreation; more than 30 lakes; several hiking trails, including a three-mile trail for hiking and biking; a full-service rifle, pistol, trap and skeet range (Fri.-Mon, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and Tue., 2 p.m.-8 p.m., for a fee); and a field archery range. Missouri hunting seasons and regulations apply.

The visitor center features educational displays and naturalist-led programs in aquatic and forest ecology, reptiles, birds and trees. (Programs require reservations.) Picnic facilities include barbecue grills, benches and a covered pavilion.

From I-64; south on Route 94; west on Route D 1.5 miles. Closed holidays and Thanksgiving weekend.

A microbrewery and restaurant located beside the Katy Trail, overlooking the Missouri River Valley. Our beer selections change seasonally. Great food and great beer are available throughout the day. We offer a children's menu and our own Rocket Root Beer, so bring the kids. We offer a beer dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. There is live music Sunday afternoons in the summer. We have an indoor dining area and outdoor seating. The dinner menu changes monthly, so check our Web site for the latest offerings. We prepare our food on site. A circa 1885 Gone with the Wind style home on 1.3 acres. The balcony overlooks the Missouri River bluffs, offering magnificent views and sunsets. A full breakfast is served at a separate facility.

Stroll the rose garden. Two wineries, a microbrewery and the Katy Trail are within three blocks.

Augusta Winery features a year-round tasting room, gift shop, and a covered terrace. Our Wine and Beer Garden is open April through October with free, live music on the weekends. Bring your own picnic or purchase cheese, sausage, snacks, and beverages at the winery. Closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. No outside alcohol or beverages allowed.

This circa 1900 farm house has modern heating, cooling, plumbing and windows. A wraparound porch, complete with porch swing, overlooks the hot-tub and deck. The original smokehouse, circa 1886, and a modern-day carriage house complete the idyllic setting.

We have three large guestrooms, each with private bath, plus a loft that can sleep six. We serve a full, hot breakfast; supper is available with prior arrangement. You can get cozy in our great room, complete with fireplace, and hang out in the wine cellar.

You might be entertained by George and his friends with an impromptu acoustic jam session. Smoking outdoors only.

We are actually located in Concord Hill, population 40, 1.3 miles from the Katy Trail. From Marthasville, drive west on Route 94 three miles; at the village of Peers, go north on Concord Hill Road for 1.3 miles.

A private cottage for two. Relax in privacy with a king size bed, sitting area with a color TV, full bath with tub and shower, automatic heat and cooling. There is a kitchen; a spacious front porch with a swing and rocking chairs; and a shady backyard. Fresh flowers, chocolates and cookies welcome you. Breakfast includes juice, coffee, tea, cereal, breakfast breads, fresh fruit and the necessary accompaniments.

This two-story, 1860s log cabin sits amid fourteen acres of wooded seclusion, with a spring-fed creek meandering through the woods. Wild turkey and deer are frequently seen. lThe cabin includes a double-size rope bed in the upstairs loft and a Jacuzzi brand tub overlooking the woods. Additional double pull-out couch/bed available downstairs. Includes full homemade breakfast. Seasonal dinner service may be provided for an additional charge. Amenities include: central air; wood burning stove; stove/range; refrigerator; wine and cheese. Katy Trail and Amtrak (Washington station) shuttles.

The Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village features the home of the legendary hero, Daniel Boone. The four-story Georgian style mansion was built overlooking the Femme Osage Valley; today it looks down to the Boonefield Village, which is comprised of more than a dozen 19th century buildings that have been moved to the site.

The village includes the school house; carpenter’s shop; grist mill; and the Old Peace Chapel. The site offers a glimpse into life on the Missouri frontier.

Two guided, one-hour tours are offered: the Home; the Village. Cost (each tour): $7; ages 55+, $6; ages 4-11, $4.

Circa 1867 cottage and 1885 Victorian house, both decorated with unusual antiques. Both homes include two sitting rooms, with fireplaces. There are fireplaces in all guestrooms. Two 600-square-foot one-room cabins. Each with queen bed, two-person jetted tub, wood-burning fireplace (wood provided) and a porch for admiring the natural beauty. The setting is a beautiful tree-covered hill with a meandering creek in the woods. Full hot breakfast is delivered to your cabin.

We are situated in Missouri wine country (in St. Charles County on Route 94), one hour west of St. Louis; five miles east of Marthasville on Route D. We offer a free shuttle to the Katy Trail, which is five miles away.

Katy Trail State Park is the longest rails-to-trails conversion in the U.S. The flat, 237.7-mile trail is open for hiking, running, walking, and bicycling through Missouri countryside.

Many wineries, restaurants, bed and breakfast inns, motels, campgrounds and shopping opportunities are located along its length. More than half of the eastern section of the trail follows the Missouri River; after leaving the river, the trail meanders through peaceful farmland and small-town Missouri.

Horseback riding is allowed on a 25-mile section between Calhoun and Sedalia.

Enjoy a relaxing weekend camping under the stars at Klondike Park, situated off Route 94 between Defiance and Augusta. Nestled in Missouri’s scenic wine country, Klondike Park offers campers a chance to reconnect to nature and the outdoors; the camp is a popular destination for Girl and Boy Scout troops. The camp features cabins that sleep eight, as well as primitive campsites for the all-out campers. The six cabins have beds, electricity, a table and ceiling fans. One of the cabins is also handicapped accessible.

A central shower house and nearby restrooms are also available to all who stay at Klondike Park and are open during the months of April through October. This unique shower house also features a built-in camp kitchen. The kitchen has a stove, a sink, stainless steel countertops, and several electrical outlets.

The six camper cabins, 10 basic campsites and 31 primitive sites at Klondike Park can be rented year-round and range from $7 to $65 in price. In addition to the overnight facilities, the recreational opportunities include cycling through the park’s miles of natural-surface and paved trails, which connect to the historic Katy Trail; strolling around the Bluff Walking Trail where you will see tremendous views of the birding/wildflower area; fishing in the large lake located in the middle of the park; relaxing around the group council ring area which features a large fire pit for roasting marshmallows and offers homemade benches to sit on; viewing wildlife, native plants and the rolling tree-line countryside from the bluffs of this former silica sand quarry.

This circa 1910 Victorian farmhouse is three blocks from Augusta Winery; four blocks from Mount Pleasant Winery and from the Katy Trail. The home accommodates four couples in four rooms with queen-sized beds and private baths en suite. Two of the rooms have oversized whirlpool, reproduction claw foot tubs. Two have walk-in showers. There is a large hot-tub in the garden; an outdoor fireplace; extensive gardens and patios. The indoor guest area includes a large sunroom with a massive stone, wood-burning fireplace. Lower Street Inn is decorated with many antiques, yet updated for comfort and relaxation. The home, which dates back to pre-1870, served as a boarding house for workers on the MKT railway in the early 1900s, and has been reworked to maintain its original charm throughout.

The kitchen has been renovated, with all new appliances. The walk-out balconies, screened porch, outdoor patio, water and flower gardens also add to the ambiance of this inn. Augusta’s wineries, facilities and churches host events ranging from weddings to corporate meetings and the town offers many bed and breakfast inns.

This bed and breakfast is unique in that the entire house is available to small groups, and is an ideal getaway for a group of friends or family. A discount is available when the entire inn is reserved by one party. The innkeepers, Dale and Sally Heining, reside just next door to the inn. Rooms also are available on an individual basis.

Guests are provided an expanded continental breakfast which includes an assortment of pastries/bagels/muffins, juices, and fresh fruit. Also provided, if our guests would care to cook, are eggs and ham or sausage, and pre-mixed pancake/waffle batter to use in the Belgian wafflemaker.

The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and bottled water. Your hostess will bring a snack tray of cheese/sausage/crackers and cookies in the afternoon. Then, before you rise, she will set up breakfast items, even the coffee maker, so all you need to do is press the start button.

Located at 296 Lower St. (where Lower and Main streets intersect), the inn is about one block from The Augusta Brewing Co., about two blocks from the Katy Trail, and within 10 minutes of many charming wineries and shops in Augusta.

Mount Pleasant was founded in 1859. The winery is within the Augusta Appellation, the first federally designated viniculture district in the United States.

The Mount Pleasant tasting room offers samples and sales. Our original limestone cellars are still used to age estate-bottled wines and international award-winning ports. Enjoy a bottle of wine while relaxing on our large, terraced patios under the trees. Picnic foods can be purchased at the winery.

A 45-minute, guided tour is available April thru October, on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 1 p.m. Private tours are available year-round, by appointment.

The winery features a restaurant with a serene atmosphere and spectacular views of the Missouri River Valley. Noboleis Vineyards tasting room serves salads, grilled Panini sandwiches, and stone-baked pizza. Our wines are produced on-site, using estate grown grapes. You can taste the quality of wine that has been managed from vine to bottle.

Our wine-tasting experts help you select the perfect wine for your palate. Sit on our hilltop patio and enjoy the views of the vineyards; there is limited seating inside. Live music some weekends. Private event space is available.

The hotel features 14 guestrooms on the two floors above street-level, all with a modern boutique environment. This completely renovated hotel is located in a historical building, three blocks from the riverfront and Amtrak.

On the ground floor, the Tavern boasts original details such as a tin ceiling and a sprawling oak bar, alongside modern touches like flat-screen TVs. It offres a full menu. It is a no-smoking environment.

Rebecca's Cafe & Desserts is located in historic Augusta, within five blocks of the Katy Trail and wineries. The menu is seasonal and changes weekly offering lunch and dinner items and featuring fabulous desserts. Menu includes soups, sandwiches, salads, quiches and many desserts. Our inn resembles a Bavarian country estate. We are located on Ozark Ridge, overlooking 200 acres in wine country, with views of vineyard-covered hills. Each suite features cathedral ceilings, private bath, jetted tub, and a fireplace; some have a private balcony. Suites open onto the great-room with a 30-foot ceiling and a fireplace.
