The 30-mile trail is popular among, hikers, backpackers and horseback riders. Allow plenty of time; it's tough to cover the entire trail in one day, even on horseback. No drinking water is available in the parking area or on the trail. Activities in this area include picknicking, floating, canoeing, boating, fishing, hiking and camping.
Eleven Point River Section of the Ozark Trail is located in Oregon County, running east and west about 20 miles south of Winona. It has several lookout points for the Eleven Point River. Leffer Look has high bluffs from which to gaze at the water. Devil`s Backbone offers karst features. Other points of interest along the Eleven Point River Section of the Ozark Trail are the Bockman Spring House and the cool waters of Hurricane Creek.

Hike a nine-tenths mile trail that descends to the second-largest spring in Missouri, Greer Spring, which has an average daily flow of 222 million gallons. Look for the trailhead sign on Route 19, eight miles north of Alton. Homesteaded by Thomas Simson in 1845; purchased by Samuel Greer in 1859. Activities include picknicking, floating, canoeing, boating, fishing, camping, biking trails, a backpacking trail and equestrian trails. On-site parking and vault toilets are available.
