The stone and wood structure was built in the 1930s. Food is served in a beautiful stone dining room overlooking the Current River. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, and a relaxing supper after a long day of floating the river. Big Spring is one of America's largest springs.

Farmers Gastropub is Springfield’s only British-style community pub. It’s located downtown in the Wilhoit Plaza, next door to the Moxie, just off of Jefferson. Farmers Gastropub strives to serve the finest and freshest food available, and the fresher the food, the better it tastes. They support the economy in the Ozarks by purchasing ingredients from local producers such as The Artisan’s Oven, Middleton’s All Natural Meats, Ozarks Natural Beef, and Fassnight Creek Farm. The menu changes seasonally to align with what the market has to offer.

Home-style cooking, soups and sandwiches, served Memorial Day-Labor Day. Snack bar, with 28 flavors of ice cream, is open daily, March-December. The restaurant seats 250; a private dining room is available for group rentals. Catering is available for groups. Located in the main building at Meramec Caverns.
