This forest, less than five miles south of I-70, offers a getaway from the busy interstate. It's a good place to stop off for a picnic lunch. You'll find the peacefulness of nearly 1,500 acres of wooded surroundings. A short trail allows travelers to stretch their legs and get a bit of exercise while exploring nature. Wet a line in one of the area’s fishing ponds or snap a few great bird or wildlife pictures. From I-70, Reifsnider State Forest is two miles east of Warrenton on Route M, then three miles south on Schuetzenground Road.
