Banana Caramel Latte

Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Ghirardelli Creamy Caramel Flavored Syrup
- 3/4 oz. Monin Banana Syrup
- 8 oz. Shatto Milk
- 2 shots Roasterie Espresso
Instructions:
- Steam syrups with the milk. - Combine espresso and stir. - Top with whipped Shatto cream. - Dust with cinnamon.

Ingredients:
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions:
Mix in blender and serve immediately in glasses.

- 2 cups cranapple juice
- 1 cup orange (best if fresh)
- ¼ cup whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 sliced bananas
- Scoop crushed ice
Instructions:
Mix in blender and serve in chilled glass.

Ingredients:
- 1 quart cranberries
- 7 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 quart ginger ale
Instructions:
Cook cranberries in 4 quarts of water until tender, then press through sieve. Add sugar to remaining 3 quarts water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Combine the cranberries, syrup and fruit juices and chill. Add ginger ale just before serving. Serves: 20-25 Date of Recipe: 1950

Old Drum was the beloved dog of a Warrensburg citizen, and Senator Vest famously eulogized the pet by saying that “man’s best friend is his dog.” A monument to Old Drum now stands on the lawn of the Warrensburg courthouse. This recipe was provided by the Johnson County Historical Society in honor of the Warrensburg sesquicentennial.

- 5 packages cherry Kool-Aid dissolved in four quarts fo water
- 2 6-ounce cans frozen lemonade
- 2 46-ounce cans pineapple juice
- 3 quarts gingerale, added just before serving

Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1/3 cup sugar
- Dash of salt
- ½ cup hot water
- 3 cups milk
Instructions:
In saucepan, combine cocoa, sugar, salt and water; simmer 2 minutes, add milk; heat (do not let boil). Before serving beat with whisk until frothy. A spoonful of whipped cream served on top is nice. Serves: 4 cups Date of Recipe: 1900

The Perfection of Lemonade

Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, Mansfield
Ingredients:
- 3 lemons
- 6 – 8 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
- Approximately 1 quart boiling water
- Sprigs of fresh mint (optional)
Instructions:
Grate rind from 1 lemon and squeeze the juice from all three. Put rind, juice, and confectioners’ sugar in a 1-quart heatproof jug. Fill jug with boiling water. Stir and let stand until cooled. Serve over ice with a sprig of mint.
