Join the Odyssey Chamber Music Series for a series of programs featuring masterpieces of chamber music repertoire that span over four centuries, in mixed ensembles of all instruments.

Chamber music involves musicians joining together to create a performance greater than each individual contribution. Come enjoy the variety of programs and outstanding performances:



  • Dec. 6: Holiday Songs, 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church. David Ludwig’s “Hanukkah Songs” will be performed by Elan Singers of Columbia, Soprano Christine Seitz offers songs by Scandinavian composers and a flute quartet completes this holiday celebration

  • Jan. 18: Kids at Heart, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church – This free family concert features the hilarious Johnny Appleseed “The Fun” Variations for kazoo and piano, Piano Stories and about a dozen young pianists performing Carnival of Animals

  • Feb. 21: Baroque Italiano, 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church – Phenomenal musicians from Italy, harpsichordist Enrico Balano and flutist Roberto Maggio provide a popular evening of Baroque music.

  • March 7-8: Odyssey & MCB: Music in Motion, Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.. at the Missouri Theatre – Enjoy Odyssey’s premiere collaboration with Missouri Contemporary Ballet featuring three live concerts.

  • May 2: Makrokosmos, 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church – Season 10 ends with a program that features three musically-related composers: Jennifer Margaret Barker, George Crumb and William J. Lackey. A season finale reception follows the concert.
